I believe that the best design comes from identifying the root problem(s) and then reverse engineering to find where the problem is stemming from, either through qualitative or quantitative research methods. This allows you to create a solution that is truly solving the correct problem and avoiding solving for an incorrect issue, that won’t move the needle from a user perspective or the business.
It all comes back to the why.
